I’m working on an article about ice cream, but because we have two freezer shelves filled with mostly Häagen-Dazs, I haven’t been craving it lately. I’m pretty sure when all that finally runs out, I’ll be searching for ice cream all the time. Funny how we always want the things we don’t have.

Right now though, all I want is a slice of Dessert Barn’s moist banana cake slathered with peanut butter frosting and Choc-Nut. The proprietor, Twinkle Legaspi, is a friend; she brought a sample one day for me to try. Hungry, Ryan and I polished off half the 6-inch cake while we were in the car after a shoot. We once did a shoot for some of Twinkle’s cakes before the holidays: I styled, Ryan took photos, we all ate. No photo of the peanut butter banana cake yet, but I’ll style it as long as I get a cake. Haha!
