Dear John Mayer,
You know I love your music (be thankful I don’t read TMZ or follow you on Twitter because I don’t really know or care about your douchebag ways) so I wish you wouldn’t be so high maintenance. Your first album, “Room For Squares,” is the soundtrack of my quarterlife crisis and I spent many hours listening to “No Such Thing” and “Back to You,” among others. I also think that “Heartbreak Warfare” is a brilliant song, and I was looking forward to hearing it live.
With this in mind, please explain to me why tickets for your MOA concert on May 16 are ridiculously overpriced. You’re touring in a developing country (“Third World” is so politically incorrect) and very few of your fans can afford to pay P12,000 for a VIP ticket or P8,000 for a gold one. While the silver ticket at P5,000 is considerably cheaper, and the bronze one at P2,000 is affordable for many fans, no one wants to shell out that much for a spot in the nosebleed section of the standing room-only field. Remember that you’re playing for fans who stuck with you despite your less-than-brilliant moments as published in Playboy (it took a lot of restraint to refrain from singing “My Stupid Mouth” at that point).
Please get back to me should you decide to lower your ticket prices to a more reasonable rate. If you do, I promise to buy your records instead of downloading them from Frostwire.
Much love,
Bianca
