Hello and thank you

February 26th, 2011

I’ve forgotten that with writing for a broadsheet also comes more readers, and I didn’t think that people would really visit my site after reading that Meidolls article. But here you are, with some of you from different parts of the world. Thanks for coming to my blog! For the people asking me more about Meidolls, I really can’t give you more information because anything I know about them was garnered from that one visit–but you can visit their Facebook site if the link I provided for their website isn’t working.

Wheee

I also realized that I missed immediate feedback from readers! The thing is, when you write for a magazine, you don’t really get feedback from strangers–it’s mostly friends and people from the industry. It’s always nice to hear what the people you know think about your work, but it’s even better when it’s from people you don’t know, because it means they cared enough to go out of their way to drop a note. Positive or negative, feedback always helps.

Also, after months of not writing, it was gratifying to see that the article made it to the most-read list for the day. (Wow, the cosplay community is a really strong one). Times like these remind me why I got into the media in the first place–and I’d been missing that a lot. So this is a great reminder. Thank you, all!
