This is the reason why I haven’t been updating lately.
Metro, the magazine where I work full-time, is going through a lot of changes at the moment. There was a huge staff turnover (one decided to work as a teacher, another became EIC of another publication, another moved on to another company, etc), so it meant a lot of changes in the magazine. It was crazy for a couple of months, but we’re finally getting the hang of it.
I’m quite proud to present our August issue, which is our annual celebrity issue. This month’s issue is all about Star Magic (formerly the ABS-CBN Talent Center) and its main man, Johnny Manahan. It took a lot of working Sundays, late nights at the office, and a lot of coordination to produce this issue, which was tough because we were running on a small staff. But hey, it’s here. And our magazine is looking better than ever.
The next issues provide even more to look forward to; there’s a lot going on now in Metro, and I find myself in the strange position of being able to do the changes I’ve been wanting to introduce for quite some time now. I’ll keep you posted; all I can say is that the title is a lot fresher now than it’s been for years, without sacrificing the content that it’s known for. But for now, do download the free Metro iPad application. It’s the first Filipino magazine that’s available on the iPad, and there’s plenty of content (videos, extra photos, etc) that isn’t available on the magazine.
But as a personal commitment, I’m going to start updating my blog every day starting today for 30 days. The 30-day blog challenge is ON!
